Presented at the IAEVG - conference.

Gateway to Guidance will be presented at the IAEVG - conference in Copenhagen the 23rd - 25th of August.

Terje Lønnebakke, County of Telemark, Norway, and Steffen Svendsen, University College of Jutland, Denmark will present our Gateway to Guidance project at the IAEVG - conference in Copenhagen from the 23rd to the 25th of August. (IAEVG = International Association for Educational and Vocational Guidance).

They have called the presentation “Adult Guidance – the relationship between careers guidance and in-company human resource development”

In the presentation of A Gateway to Guidance the speakers will focus on the fact that the project is dealing with links between companies and the careers guidance environment. Today very few companies are aware of the services provided by careers guidance agencies – and few careers guidance professionals are aware of how human resource development strategies is handled in companies. In a lifelong learning and lifelong guidance context these links must be strengthened.

Within the framework of the project links between companies and regional providers of careers guidance are set up in regional reference groups

The project has the ambition of developing adult guidance activities within companies in order to promote career planning as a tool to personal growth and enhanced employability.
